Ministry of Minority Affairs invites application for financial assistance from candidates belonging to notified minority communities viz. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis who have cleared Preliminary examination conducted  by Union Public Service Commission  (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC) & State Public Service Commissions (PSCs) etc. in the year 2015-16  for  requirement  to Civil Services Group ‘A’ & ‘B’ posts, and preparing for Main Examination.

2. The  financial  assistance  is  for  the  purpose  of  adequately  equipping candidates to compete for appointment to Civil Services in the Union and the State Governments and to increase the representation of the minorities in the Civil Services.

3. Eligibility Criteria:-

(i) The candidate should belong to one of the Minority Communities i.e. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis notified under Section 2(C) of National Commission for Minorities Act, m1992

(ii) The total annual income of family from all sources should not exceed to Rs. 4.50 Lakh.

(iii) Candidates should have passed the Prelims Examination conducted by UPSC; State PSC or SSC etc.

4. The rate of Financial Assistance will be Rs. 50.000/- for Gazetted post and Rs. 25,000/- for Non Gazetted post. This is one time award and those candidates who have availed this benefit in 2013-14 and 2014-15 are not eligible. One Application Form from one Candidate will be accepted. In case of receipt of multiple applications from one candidate against passing of Prelims exam conducted by UPSC, SSC etc., his all applications will be rejected without notice.

5. The details of the Scheme and format of Application Form is available on the website of this Ministry i.e. www.minorityaffairs.gov.in – Scheme of Support for Minority Students Clearing Prelims conducted by UPSC, SSC and State PSC.

6. The prescribed Application Form duly filled along with all essential documents as mentioned in therein, may be sent to the Under Secretary (FC), Room No. 1130,  11th Floor, Ministry  of Minority Affairs, Paryavaran Bhawan, CGO Complex. Lodhi Road. New Delhi-110003.

The envelop should clearly super scribed with “Application for Scheme of Support for Minority Students Clearing Prelims conducted by UPSC, SSC and State PSC” and should reach within 30 days from the date of announcement of result of Preliminary Exam.
